Portraits

Elaine Treharne

“The focus of my research is the Medieval manuscript, and we have a super collection of Medieval books and fragments in Special Collections in the Green Library. I love the building, the Special Collections’ Librarians, and the synergy that comes from working with my colleagues in this field in our teaching and research endeavors.”

“Stanford has made me very aware of the possibilities of working in an environment that privileges creativity and flexibility, and provides great support and resources. I knew the students were superb, but their persistent commitment and diligence is just astonishing.”
