George Jedenoff

George Jedenoff, ’40, BS in mechanical engineering, MBA ’42. Perennial reunion chair for the Class of ‘40; secretary of his MBA Class, of which there are just 6 members left. Also, a 2009 winner of the Stanford Medal, given to volunteer leaders for decades of distinguished and significant volunteer service to Stanford.

Retired in 1977 from US Steel after 38 years. Became president of Kaiser Steel for three years before retiring in 1980.

Lives in Orinda, CA, with his wife, Barbara, ’43. They met her sophomore year, when George was a hasher for the Chi Omega sorority, and were married in Memorial Church on February 27, 1943.

At age 98, George works out every morning and still skis. To see him in action:
