McKenzie Lynch

β€œThe trees on campus are magical! Even in the middle of winter quarter they grow flowers. This tulip magnolia tree is one of my favorites, not only because of its determination to bloom despite the cold, but also because it reminds me of my mother and my grandmother. Both women are my biggest role models and graduated in the Stanford classes of 1983 and 1949. They were students under the same trees and I think of them whenever I look up at the branches. Some of my other favorite trees are the beautiful oaks on Lake Lagunita and the fruit trees off of main quad, however the best tree on campus is definitely in the Stanford band!”
